A worth read! But a little predictable in few instances.
Depression, an issue that must be discussed and when it is discussed through a story weaved with perfect blend of words and beautiful thoughts nothing could be more engaging than that !
As I start to read the story, I feel for the boy. His desperation to give up his life for keeping his “thought so” sin muffled within him for being the reason of best friend's fatal incident craved me to read further to know the exact event. At the same time, I am infuriated by the mind set of Raghu’s father. Reflection of his thoughts through Raghu’s journal entry made it little predictable that something in form of Zubeida is coming. The drama followed is expected. With Brahmi and her uneasiness with Taiji and Tauji, indicated to the physical violence surly. But her point of depression was kept me hanging till the truth of her parents came to fore front.
The gruesome event “Dada left us!” and “Her parents died 10 years ago” made me read the chapters again and again that it really happened. I felt devastated too. Consuming the fact, I have to move forward with the story, so I did. The event of “eloping” of Raghu’s mother with Anirban Jr boiled my blood and made me fiercely irate when they put the “conversion of religion” as a pact to return Zubeida’s baby.
I fell in love with Raghu when and way he opposed his parents. His relationship with Brahmi made him believe subconsciously that he has the surge to live still alive. The truth of Brahmi surely shattered me into pieces and again pointed to the reality a single girl or woman faces while she struggles to get a better life and living her dreams and how cruel it becomes when she is stamped as a lone girl especially an orphan.
Many questions are still to be answered, and left us to predict when you calmly continue to conjure your thoughts on the paper.
I will wait for my questions to get an answer.
1.Raghu, will he return to his parents?
2.Anirban jr how he will grow up?
3.Brahmi, Will the sins of Tauji and Taiji and Vedant be exposed?
4.Will Raghu love again?
5.Zubeida, what happens to her next?
For me it is 3.5 out of 5 because I am still hypnotised under the beauty and magic of “Till the last breath” .
